چکیده

students derive much benefit from a book of this type. As a supplement to their standard texts it not only aids them in understanding structure but stimulates their studying of anatomy by integrating physiology and emphasizing the practical application of such knowledge. A book of this type allows a busy physician to review in a short time the essentials of normal anatomy of various structures of the body and at the same time keep abreast of some of the latest methods of diagnosis and treatment when the structures are diseased.

This monograph comprises a set of notes which was developed to accompany a seminar series on the Concepts of Radiation Dosimetry given by the authors at Stanford University during the Spring Quarter 1970. It discusses the basic information required to understand the principles of photon and charged particle dose measurement from basic particle interactions to cavity chamber theory. As health ph...

امکان سنجی بکارگیری عناصر نیمه هادی از نوع PIN به منظور دزیمتری پرتوهای ایکس تشخیصی

Knowing patient exact dose during radiological activities is considered as one of the main principles to decrease radiation-induced dangers which are not really necessary and affect a great deal of people. In this respect, in recent years many extensive studies have been done on types of photodiodes and production of X-ray detectors using semiconductor elements. Since these elements are not ver...

A Novel Biological Dosimetry Method for Monitoring Occupational Radiation Exposure in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Wards: From Radiation Dosimetry to Biological Effects

Background and Objective: Professional radiation workers are occupationally exposed to long-term low levels of ionizing radiation. Occupational health hazards from radiation exposure, in a large occupational segment of the population, are of special concern. Biological dosimetry can be performed in addition to physical dosimetry with the aim of individual dose assessment and biological effects....

Diagnostic Reference Levels for Computed Tomography Examinations in Iran: A Nationwide Radiation Dose Survey

Introduction: International Commission on Radiological Protection introduced three basic principles of radiation protection, namely justification, optimization, and dose limit. Medical exposure has no dose limits, and generally, diagnostic reference levels are used as a tool for optimization of patient protection. Material and Methods: Dosimetry was performed on 20 CT scanners located in 14 cit...

TG-69: radiographic film for megavoltage beam dosimetry.

TG-69 is a task group report of the AAPM on the use of radiographic film for dosimetry. Radiographic films have been used for radiation dosimetry since the discovery of x-rays and have become an integral part of dose verification for both routine quality assurance and for complex treatments such as soft wedges (dynamic and virtual), intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image guided rad...
